At Westminster, Advent and Christmas are very special times of year in which we prepare for and celebrate the coming of Christ...in our regular services and through a calendar-full of special events and activities. It's a time that's colorful, joyful, musical, and reverent. And, most importantly, it's a time that's focused on helping all of us remember, or perhaps rediscover, why we celebrate Christmas.

Whether you're a regular member, a visitor, or, perhaps, just seeking a church-home for the holidays, we hope you'll join us throughout this special season.

Sunday November 27, 2005 - First Sunday in Advent...lighting of the First Advent candle during 10:30 a.m. worship.

Sunday December 4, 2005 - Second Sunday in Advent...lighting of the Second Advent candle during 10:30 a.m. worship.

Sunday December 11, 2005 - Third Sunday in Advent...lighting of the Third Advent candle during 10:30 a.m. worship, featuring our choir's annual Christmas Cantata. Following worship, everyone is invited to join in our Holiday Dinner, prepared by our Fellowship Committee.

Sunday December 18, 2005 - Fourth Sunday in Advent...lighting of the Fourth Advent candle and presentation of our annual "Unrehearsed Nativity" during 10:30 a.m. worship featuring our church's children. Visitors, particularly those with children, are especially encouraged to join us this Sunday.

Saturday December 24, 2005 - Annual Candlelit Christmas Eve communion service at 6:30 p.m. Child care will be provided and everyone is welcome.

Sunday December 25, 2005 - Christmas Day service at 10:30, celebrating our Lord's birth. All families, friends and visitors are welcome on the special Sunday.

Sunday January 8, 2005 - Epiphany Sunday, including Westminster's traditional distribution of Epiphany "stars" to all members and visitors during our 10:30 a.m. worship. Church-wide lunch, including the cutting of the Epiphany Cake, will follow services, after which we will conclude our celebration of Advent and Christmas with our annual "Unhanging" of the Greens. All are welcome and encouraged to join us.

We hope you'll celebrate
this special season with us,
and make Westminster
your church-home for the holidays.
